Load Current Selection and Transformer Configuration
1. For a load of 100A: Utilize a 100A/100mA transformer to achieve an accurate 4VDC
2. When dealing with a load of 150A, it is crucial to choose a 200A/100mA transformer to ensure a precise and stable 3VDC output, providing the necessary accuracy for optimal performance.
In the initial scenario, there is no requirement to adjust the P5 potentiometer. However, in the subsequent scenario, it becomes essential to modify the P5 potentiometer settings. This is necessary because, at 150A, the signal from the current transformer only registers at 75mA. Post-amplification, the CT voltage is merely at 3VDC, which implies that the trigger board cannot offer adequate protection for the system. Therefore, the P5 potentiometer must be recalibrated so that when the current signal reaches 75A, the CT voltage aligns at 4VDC. To measure the CT voltage on the trigger board, employ a multimeter, referring to the specific position highlighted in the diagram below for accurate localization on the trigger board.
